ABC book

I am making my 3 year old an ABC scrapbook with pictures of her. I am having a hard time with a few letters though. I can't find anything for E, Q, U, V, X, Y, or Z. I want to make sure that whatever the picture is of it is clear in the picture. For example, I don't want to use Zoo for Z.

Any suggestions for those letters would be appreciated.

E - eat, exersize
Q - quilt, quiet (I just pictured a little girl with her finger to her lips...)
U - umbrella
V - vest
X - xylophone
Y - yarn, yellow, yam
Z - zipper

Hopefully someone else will come along with better ideas.

What's an ABC book? Sounds neat! Don't really have ideas, though, sorry!

I presume you want pictures of child for each letter

Q queen (with a crown on) or under a quilt or in a queue

U up on something, under something

I'll have to think about the others

I like Q for Quilt! I sewed each of my girls a quilt. That would be perfect!!

Great ideas! Keep them coming!

An ABC book is just a regular old book of ABC's like the board books except that I am doing it as a scrapbook with pictures of my daughter. She loves looking at pictures, especially of herself. This will help her learn letter recognition. I anticipate that she will want to read it often.

Sounds like a great idea!

I am doing a similar project with my ds using a scrapbook and coloring pages of animals for each letter of the alphabet. I let him color the animals, then I am assembling them into the scrapbook as his "ABC ZOO". We've been working on it slowly over the past couple months. Once I glue his animal colorings in I may let him add letter stickers too.
