that states that the coupons distributed by the artificial baby milk companies actually increase the price of formula? There's someone who routinely asks for these coupons on my local freecycle to give to those who aren't as fortunate. I'm going to suggest that s/he provide resources for breastfeeding help instead & wanted to include this info.

On my local Freecycle we've banned requests for formula checks, as well as food and other charity requests. They may still be offered though. You might suggest this to your moderator and email BFing info to the lady who requests formula checks.

http://www.banthebags.org would be a good place to look. I don't know that the coupons increase the cost of formula but that the coupons (like the samples) are for high priced formula. Formula buyers are extremely brand-loyal so the coupons (or samples) hook people to more expensive formula brands.
