TF and Crohn's Disease

Thread Starter
Just wondering if anyone knows of any good articles for someone to read who has serious crohn's disease. She has been told to stay away from foods that don't break down in the stomach. I feel like a low carb diet would be best, but would like to get more info.
Thanks a bunch!

Is the "Healing the Gut" tribe still around? If so, I would post there!

She should check out Jordan Rubin's story in "Patient Heal Thyself" or the "Maker's Diet". I think he co wrote a book with a gastroenterologist specifically about digestive disorders. He had Crohn's so bad he almost died, and he used diet (and his supplements! which I can testify work very well) to heal. I used his program for CFS in PHT and had great results.

the Makers Diet is an awesome, super TF book, great suggestions in there for dealing with chrohns and other gastrointestinal disorders. The authors personal story is very inspirational. i personally have never tried his supplements and though they may be great I find them cost prohibitive and for a person with no GI issues, uneccesary.
