Need vitamin D - help!

Ok so we are lucky to see the sun for 30 or 60 minutes total in a day around here this winter... I think I need more D than I'm getting from CLO and butter. What's a good source for a natural D supplement?

TIA

are you taking a high vitamin CLO?
Lard from pastured pigs is a good source of vitamin D, I think.
I like vitamin D supplements from a fish source the best. I take a lactating dose of high vitamin CLO as described by WAPF.

There are certainly food sources of Vit. D. Have you checked out this article? http://www.westonaprice.org/basicnut...ndmiracle.html

tbh...if I were going to be supplementing above and beyond HVCLO/BO I would probably look into having my levels tested as there can be Vit. D toxicity.

I've read all of Price's stuff on D. The Nordic CLO I have only has 3% of the RDA of D if you take the maximum dosage of it. Can anyone recommend a brand that has capsules that is high vitamin content? I won't take it by the spoonful. No way!!

Is the high vitamin CLO just the bottom of the barrel where all the good stuff settles? I"ve heard that the US gets mostly the inferior skimmed off the top stuff.

As for food sources, we eat a lot of eggs and butter. I passionately dislike organ meats, barely even like meat itself. I do like seafood, but have a difficult time finding much that is not full of PCB's and mercury. We eat it about once per week. I'm sure I'm low on D - espec since we have no sun.

Nordic makes a formula with Vit D added...I can't remember the name. Also, my naturopath just recently prescribed Vit D because I was seriously deficient, the product is from Biotics Research called Bio-D-Mulsion. It has 2000iu per drop.

I too take a drop of the Bio-D-Mulsion forte D3 drops, 2000 IU per drop. My Dr. suggested it and it brought my levels up nicely from like 38 to 55 in 3 months. I'm on a drop a day through the winter to keep the levels up.

I was just tested a little over a week ago and my labs came back 15 in a range of 30-80. She had me do some mega dose the first time and now I'm supposed to take 2 drops a day for about a month.

Crazy!!

I'm also in the teens

In addition to the CLO I am taking Carleson's D3 capsules. At first I was doing the 1000iu ones, but this time I bought the 2000iu and I'm taking one a day for a while since I am so low.
