Who's going to Midwifery Today Philly conference

just wondering who is planning on coming to the philly conference in march. I live about 2 hours away and am debating whether I am coming or not. I don't have any births around that time, but the cost is prohibitive right now, so i'm up in the air about it.

Also, for those that have been to Midwifery today conferences before, what is the vendor section like? what kind of vendors do they have? how many? the forums are down at midwifery today, so I can't go and search on there.

Hi! I wasn't planning go go until last week, when I decided I really need the inspiration of the MT conference! So I'm scraping together the funds.

The vendor area is varied, I have gotten good homeopathic kits dirt cheap, there are always Tshirts, jewelry, tables for ICAN and MANA, herbals and video and-- of course-- great books. The MT conferences are more focused on homebirths and CPMs and I have received some strange reactions to being a CNM. It was an awakening for me as I have always had good rapport with the CPMs that I know, especially the ones who cared for me during pregnancy and birth! As I see it, we're all sisters on different but similar paths, defending birth and women for the ages.

Anyway, I've been to one MT conference, I'm certainly no expert, but it was great and second only to MANA in Baltimore!

I definitely want to go, but the cost is a bit prohibitive.

I just found out from my ameda rep (I sell and rent ameda products) they might be able to help with a vendor booth. that might be a great option, I will get to meet tons more people if I have a booth and hopefully sell enough to pay for the conference, I emailed Midwifery today to make sure they have room, I'll find out monday. this might be my ticket! I'll rotate people through watching the booth.

If I do have a booth, I'm gonna look for people who have things to sell that want to do it on consignment, so pm me if you are interested. I sell some things, but not enough for a whole booth. the ameda stuff is wonderful, the best, in my opinion as an LC so I would be thrilled to help them promote their stuff.

who else is going? I better get a hotel room, RowanKC, did you do that already?
