I can't believe this. My friend is gone.

I just got word that my longtime friend and coworker is dead. He was only 28. He is a month older than me. He was my buddy.

i just don't have words. I just saw him last night. We were reading dirty text messages together and laughing. He was really happy-go-lucky and on top of things yesterday. the last thing I said to him made him bubble over with laughter. That was the best part about him, he had this infectious laugh that would have you hysterical even if you didn't know what was going on. How do you go from that to dying in your sleep? How!?

R.I.P. Jesse. You broke our hearts.

Thank you for your thoughts everyone. I really needed that.

I have to go to work in a few hours, and I am dreading it. The restaurant shut down last night in honor of him, but today it will be business as (un)usual. I down know how I am going to be able to look at the spot where he would work all night and be normal about it. I don't want to go there. Today is going to be really hard.

This hurts way more than I ever thought.

I saw his dad yesterday and he was crushed. We spent the afternoon with him and he was so happy to see how loved his son was.

What really sucks is that it appears as though he was drunk, had passed out on his couch, and choked to death on his vomit. This whole thing...just sucks.
