how much CLO do you go through?

My dd (age 2.75), my dh, and I (31 weeks pregnant) all take CLO daily. My dd and I each take 2 tsp, and my dh takes 1 tbsp.

At these dosages, we are going through a bottle of NN in only about 10 days! At a little over $20 each, this is hard to keep up with.

Are these dosages appropriate? Does your family go through this much CLO in the winter, too?

I'm not familiar with that brand, but my DH and I each take 4ml and my DS takes 2ml. I think that works out to 1 tsp for adults and 1/2 tsp for our 2yo. But we're taking the high vitamin Blue Ice brand.

We don't go through it as fast as we should because I often forget to take it

The brand we're taking is Nordic Naturals. I've heard of Blue Ice (on this board), but I'm not sure how the two compare.

Anyone else?

I take the Blue Ice HVCLO. I bought my bottle a few weeks ago and I'm already half way through it...and I'm the only one taking it!! I'm nursing my dd, though so am taking the WAPF suggested dosage for pregnant and nursing mothers. I can't even imagine how quickly I'd go through it if it weren't a high-vitamin one.

There is a way to get the Blue Ice one cheaper and last I knew there was a thread looking for interest in that over on the co-ops board. You may want to check that out. While the Blue Ice one is more expensive, you do take less because it's a HV one. IMO after trying the one from Garden of Life, I much prefer the taste of the Blue Ice brand.

Thanks for your response! Could you refer me to the WAPF recommendations for dosing? I'm having trouble finding it over there, for some reason...

WAPF CLO info

I go through an 8oz bottle of Garden of Life Lemon Mint in about a month. I get it for about $11 from vitacost so it's not prohibitive.

You can probably find an online source for NN that's cheaper than that. Two places to check is vitaglo.com and vitacost.com

HTH!
