Has anyone made buttermilk from scratch? I was going to try the method listed here: http://biology.clc.uc.edu/fankhauser...BUTTERMILK.HTM It looks easy enough and I have extra raw milk this week.
If you've done this before, how long did the process take? How much milk did you end up throwing out? Did the resulting buttermilk work well as a starter for later batches?
