True Confessions

I peeked in another DDC (I think maybe it was September) and they have a "true confessions" thread going that is pretty funny.

Anyone have any true confessions? Secretly you don't care that the house is going to pot? You bought McDonald's food for your kids today (that would be mine... )? You bought clean clothes instead of doing the laundry?

Confession is good for the soul!

Today I let my daughter eat an ice cream cup that is for her birthday party - and it was right before lunch.

Pregnancy has made no difference in the state of my house, but I'm blaming pregnancy anyway.

I asked my male co-worker to start my car for me at quitting time yesterday and used my pregnancy as an excuse. (I swore I was never going to be one of "those women" who hauled out her pregnancy to get special favors.) Ha.

Buuuuuuuuuuuut, it was really really cold yesterday, and I put on a dress and heals in the morning without even looking at the weather report. My co-worker is a very kind man with a wife and 5 children of his own, so he cheerfully obliged.

Sapphire - that really cracked me up mama

I've had 2 brownies today, before & after lunch and will have ice cream for dessert after supper tonight.... I'm so ashamed :

In the past 2 days I have eaten 2 pints of "light" ice cream. Black Raspberry with dark chocolate chunks in it. Yummy! I feel so guilty though.

My son ate chocolate chips today, before lunch.

My house is a wreck, and I'm not cleaning right now.

I'm so sick of clothes. . . .we may just move and become nudists.

Um, yeah. Me too.

My confession...I've been trying really hard to stay away from chocolate, especially during the first trimester due to the caffeine. My grandparents bought me like 8 boxes of Mon Cheris for Christmas (do you know what those are? The hazelnut creme filled chocolates?) and I've eaten a box over the last week. It's only 12 pieces, so that's not too bad. But still! I guess I'm okay to have a little chocolate now right?

And I'm craving Doritos for some reason. Bad! But I did eat a big salad for lunch, so I guess it's okay I had some Doritos.

I have been craving Snack Paks (the pudding)! I ate 3 today already. Also my 2 and 4 year olds were eating big green salads with dinner and I was praising my 2 year old for eating her salad. I said "you are such a big girl!! Big girls eat salads." Then my 4 year old looked at me and said "Mommy, why aren't you eating a salad?"

I've been letting my two kids watch TV all day, every day, just so that they leave me the alone
I've happily been eating all sorts of bad things...candy...chocolate...ice cream...whatever!

Aaaah, I just love being pregnant! :smile

The other day for lunch my not yet 2 yr old was having quinoa and butternut squash and broccoli for lunch and I had macaroni and cheese box mix with a few carrot and celery sticks. Um, that is bad when you crave more junk food/less healthy food than your toddler? : And the snack pak thing--wow I just remembered how much I craved Cozy Shack tapioca puddings when pg with dd. Think I need some now....

I bought a bag of cheese balls and have eaten half the bag in 2 weeks! Albeit, I can't really keep anything down, so they aren't staying there, but why the junk food?? LOL

I ate three fried eggrolls from the global market last night because the babies wanted them.

Vanilla ice cream with milk poured on it and mixed up is really good!

I let my toddler watch "Ice Age" twice today. I'm really, really sick with a virus on top of being pg (at least I was able to get out of bed today) So I desperately need a break. We sit together and talk about it while we watch it, at least. But, this is the true confession, I'll probably let him watch it again tomorrow :

I had almost 2 cups of coffee today...in hopes to end a really bad headache...though I did try to drink water first and it just didn't help...and the headache still remains.

Most of mine have to do with food--foregoing the healthy PB we usually buy for the stuff loaded with sugar, and eating most of it with a spoon...also serious cravings for ketchup chips, a childhood fave. (Any other Canadians here?) They are so salty they make your tongue hurt for a day, but I had to have them sometimes. After looking at the sodium count (51% for a serving!) I haven't had any. Luckily my normal eating habits (ie non-processed foods) have recently returned!

The house is a mess, but it's always chaotic, I just have a better excuse for the chaos!

I'm one of the agitators for a TV-free kids forum, and when I had the flu (or whatever) last week, I let the kids watch an Electric Company DVD (only one episode/day, but I still felt like a serious hypocrite.) :
