:

Am I really the only one who lives in one?

I have multiple jumpers and yes, some have applicqu..... applic.... anyway.....

I don't wear pants or skirts, I have to wear dresses or jumpers. Anything that creates pressure on the waist is a complete no no for me- causes nausea.

But still, it *was* denim. lol

i graduated high school in 1989 and just had a flashback to acid wash jeans!!! lol!!! that was awesome! the 80's will forever live in me through new wave music - but man - you just brought to mind some powerful visual flashbacks!!!! i'm laughing so hard that my dh thinks i'm weirder than he even knew!!!

LOL My sister graduated in 1989 and her cheerleader friends held & surrounded my newborn at graduation. He's in the yearbook supplement-- so tiiiiiiiiy and oh-so-cool. From the get -go, the boy was all that and more. Yes, my sister the cheerleader: Extended Breastfeeding Mom and natural childbirth diva. Boggles the mind, no?

I voted heck no but I might have chosen something stronger for my exclamation.

This strikes as funny and I have no idea why.

OMG you've traumatized me by forcing me to remember that in 1988, when I was pregnant with my first.. I did .. indeed... own a denim jumper: and.. it WAS acid washed!!!! Don't know whether to : at the memory of it.. or to think I was for being a stylin mama to be at the time

Cari, whatareyagonnado? Acid denim was far-eaking everywhere in the 80's. Not one of us wants to relieve the one -handed glove, either. Right? Riiiight???

: Fer suuure! If it made it into maternity wear of the 80's it was truly the thing .. because all maternity wear of that time was tent dresses and things with puffy granny sleeves lol.

I can assure you with absolute certainty though that even though I did own white gloves in the mid 80s (high school marching band lol) at NO time other than putting them on, or taking them OFF.. was I ever caught wearing only one of them!

wait.. that sounds like I did in secret... LOL

When I was in college to be a teacher we had a kid in our class who wore jumpers...and it was always "school print" ones she made herself. One was rulers, one was math problems etc. Oh and she was one of the weird HSers...ya know the socially misfit type that everyone is scared your HSing kids will be like.:

Me...well you wont catch me in a jumper ever!

Uh no, no and no

I live in t-shirts and jeans, except at work when I have to wear a suit (pant suit, no skirts, I do a lot of bending and lifting , I call it my grown-up costume.)

I didn't have acid wash jeans, but did briefly go through a big blond hair, big sweater, acid wash denim skirt phase around 1986, before I came to my senses, dyed my hair green and started wearing army surplus all the time.

When I was pregnant with ds ('93), I had a very fetching circa-1975 full gown with an empire waist and very full skirt that I loved to wear.

I saw a woman and her 3yo dd on the subway, mom was wearing a denim jumper (over jeans) and i thought "wow, she looks so cute, could i pull that off?"

btw--she was interecting w/ her dd in a very sweet GD/AP way, it did cross my mind that they could be hs'ers (and that I'd like to be her friend!

Actually I had my first baby in 1969. I had number 5 in 1980 and adopted number 6 in 2002.
