We are just facing this dilemma. Up to now, we've had no problem finding French books, but my 2.5 yo is now exploring the alphabet and I'm in need of an alphabet puzzle (preferable wood) that includes pictures under the letters. We have an English version and I'd like for her to have something comparable in French. Any suggestions? TIA!

This book feels good in your hands. The paper is heavyweight, and the illustrations flow perfectly.

Not a puzzle, but printable sheets. Does that fit? My DD loves these.

I am going to assume that you are not in Canada. Can you contact a store like Scholar's Choice? They would most likely have French language stuff since it is a teacher and parent store. Also look online at Canadian stores, even try toys r us in Canada. I know that in Canada they have the Leap Frog stuff (toys and everything in French).

We've gotten most of our books (that we own) from friends and family traveling or living in France and Switzerland. There are two board books that have been especially popular - A la ferme and A l'ecole. A also enjoys her First French Dictionary. We live in a semi-large town (university town) and our library has a pretty good selection of books - mostly translations of the usual suspects - Good Night Moon, Where the Wild Things Are, etc...
BTW - I found a great website for toys called Magellan Toys and ordered A the alphabet puzzle I've been looking for.
