I just got back from the doctor. Tomorrow I have to get a sonogram at 3:30 so they can check her amniotic fluid level (And hopefully give me more sonogram pics!) and Monday I have to be induced because I am not dialated anymore. I have been at 1 centimeter for olmost 1 month! They will induce me at 8 p.m. Monday so Anisa will probably come Tuesday and share a b day with my mom.

Coughing hacking coughing hacking... UGH. I spent the day cleaning and if I have to bend over one more time there better be a baby coming out the other end!!!! No sign of that though. I have a feeling I'm going to be droning on through the weekend, though here comes a little ctx. Tomorrow night we are supposed to get snow... so, maybe tomorrow night!

isra -- It's your call, but not being dilated anymore than 1cm for a month really isn't a big deal nor an indicator of anything. I was only 1cm and delivered 4 days later on my own with my first. Not being dilated before you go into labor means nothing. You can still have a fast labor. YOu can be very dilated and walk around for weeks like that. It's not an indicator of whether or not you will give birth soon. If it were me, I wouldn't induce without some sort of medical need (ie baby or I were in some sort of distress).

Feeling contractiony this evening, we'll see if it pans out to anything.

ITA, unless you're past 42 weeks I don't see why being at 1 cm indicates a need for induction... -- not my baby/body/business but want you to have a great birth experience and induction is tough!

I'm still feeling crampy. They did go away for about an hour when I propped myself up in a hands-knees position and snoozed a bit. I'm wondering if it has more to do with baby being in OP or something; at the same time, it's been consistent since about 10 am, so maybe it's warming up to something like early labor.

I'm trying not to obsess. But I will admit I took a few extra EPO capsules this evening, and ate some tabouleh (which is guaranteed to clean me out a little!). We'll see, I'm feeling hopeful, I would love to meet my baby tomorrow!

Same thing here as many of you... crampy, contractiony, nothing serious. Maybe that's just that moon tugging! I did realize if I HAD had the baby last night the birth center would surely have been packed! My sis works as a postpartum nurse and instead of a usual 6 admissions or so in one night, they had 14 during the full moon. She was surprised not to get a call from me.

Isra, I agree with others that induction should have a pretty good reason! Also think about doing some things to get your body going between now and then - it is so likely you will just have this baby on your own before Tuesday even, being 41 weeks now. Have you seen this site? http://www.givingbirthnaturally.com/...uce-labor.html
Good luck!

Hey could someone do me a huge favour?
I have a large assortment of cast iron fry pans, could someone bash me on the head, just enough to knock me out and then wake me when I go into labour?

thanks!

easy contractions all last night and this morning....now NOTHING!

I just keep telling myself, Soon, soon. Due tomorrow, it'll be the first time I made it all the way to 40 weeks. DH is cooking yummy Indian food right now, so maybe that will do the trick.:

Gotta watch lost tonight though, hopefully no baby in the middle of lost

Take care everyone!

Contractions all evening here too. The stopped for a little bit, or at least slowed, then we dtd and they picked back up. I'm hanging on the birth ball to try to help things along...much too cold to walk outside even if DH were home at the moment. What else can I do? I SOOOO want to have this baby!!!

I keep telling the baby Gymboree is having a sale, I have a coupon, AND it's Gymbucks earning time....so if he or she would just hurry up and arrive I promise to go shopping and buy all kinds of wonderful clothes...

Aw Jami I'm sorry!!! She broke your streak!!!

FWIW, DD came 3 days later than DS...and I am SO hoping to break that streak, I don't want to still be pregnant next weekend!!

I'm trying to decide if I should just go to bed and get some sleep or try to stay up and keep up the contractions....
good luck Amy! I have decided i'm not going to waste my energy trying to keep up the contractions...I don't have that much to begin with right now!

LOL I haven't had them at all so they got me excited...but honestly I think I'm going to watch the weather and go to sleep! If they're meant to be now then they'll keep coming, right? Otherwise I'll do some walking tomorrow and eat some pineapple and try to kickstart things again.
