GSE and yeast- please help

I know I read somewhere that GSE can be used to treat yeast ( skin) infections. The bottle says add drops to water, but if it is used on a baby's bottom is it just wiped on? Diluted? Thanks for helping!

When we had thrush I took GSE pills orally, and I kept a peri bottle with a solution of distilled water and GSE drops. I think I used maybe 10 drops in 8 ounces of water? Anyway, I would swab out his mouth and my nipple before and after nursing with some of the solution on a clean cloth, and I would squirt it on our cloth wipes and wipe him down each diaper change. Worked better than the prescription stuff (actually, that didn't work at all!), but if I recall I did do this for weeks. I've heard you can also make kind of a paste from probiotic powder, or an open capsule if you can't find just the powder.

Definitely dilute it! It is very strong! You need like just a few drops to a quarter cup of water. Definitely do not use full strength. I haven't used it for that, but it sounds like something that might work. I have used GSE for other things, like gargling when sick, teeth and gum issues, etc, and it's just very concentrated, so you must dilute it.

Dr. Jack Newman has great directions for diluting GSE drops for use topically. I believe it's 10 drops for every ounce of water. i found it most helpful to apply the GSE/water with a cotton ball rather than a wash cloth/wipe. for one, this kept all my wash cloths from getting infected with yeast, a cotton ball is much less rough than a wash cloth, and it allowed the area to get more saturated while using less of the GSE/water mixture.

after applying let the area completely air dry before putting it back in a diaper whenever possible.

also, keep your eyes open for other signs of thrush/systemic yeast if you are bf'ing. whenever i notice yeast anywhere on myself or my nurslings i start taken the oral GSE capsules and plenty of probiotics to make sure it doesn't turn into a massive, miserable yeast outbreak.

How much do you do with the probiotics? Is it the kind of thing that you can't get too much of? How do you know if it's doing the job?
Thanks!
