Ideas on absorbant pull-up type diaper

I've done some sewing in my life, but never diapers, so I'm asking for ideas. I cloth diapered my first daughter with prefolds and covers all the way through, but my second is throwing me for a loop. The child will not stay still long enough to put a prefold on her! I've been battling this for a long time now, and have found myself more and more grabbing sposies because I can do that as I chase her!

I'm too cheap to go spend a lot on a new set of AIOs at this point. So, I'm thinking I need to figure out a way to create a thick (she's no where near potty learning yet) pull-up kind of diaper. I'd like to either create a pocket type thing so I can use my prefolds or I'd like to incorporate the prefold into something that is like an AIO training pants kind of thing.

It'd be awesome to have side snaps just in the event of a poop explosion, but that would just be icing on the cake.

Any patterns you know of that would get me to what I'm looking for?

TIA!

wee wicka has a side snapping pocket diaper pattern that people seem to like pretty well

It's not a pattern, but it is an amazing design:

I spent some time figuring it out, and have about 20 cut out and ready to sew together. The two test runs I did turned out awesome! I used pul on the outside, t-shirt on the inside, and microfiber towels to stuff.
