So I had a few ctx starting around 4 and then around 7ish and then around 8ish they became more consistent. I had planned on having my dc's here, but this is how it went; The ctx @ 7ish were nice and strong, but the littlest dd was not happy with what was on the menu. so she stood in the kitchen screaming and crying and then she's clinging to me. So I called my SIL to come get her ( her girls are around the same age, weehoo, sleepover ). She left willingly, but then the ctx stopped until 8 when dh returned home with ds, who immediately went for my belly and a hug. I explained to him, for the millionth time, that when mommy is having a ctx we have to stay calm but we can hold hands .... he didn't hear me, "so whens the baby coming, now, tomorrow, right now, whats going to happen????" A million questions while I am breathing through a kicker. So he is clinging to me, though he's a better coach than Dh who is franticly running through the house vacuuming and cleaning and can't understand why I am yelling at him for vacuuming. At one point I am standing in a door way, he comes speeding through with the vacuum "move" he yells. "What???", I ask " I AM HAVING A CTX AND YOUR YELLING AT Me TO MOVE!!!!", "Well go lay down", he says! SO meanwhile my BF/ doula shows up and my ctx seem to be petering out. But they are still pretty strong. DD and DS start fighting, then DD is complaining to me that her toe hurts, then it;s her foot, then her head is itchy. ARGH!!!! Thank G-d for my BF, she suggested we take a ride and go have a glass of wine. So that;s what we do and now all is quiet on this front, and G-d willing things will pick up tomorrow. I guess I wasnt' meant to have a baby tonight. But tomorrow night, I am getting rid of my family for a peaceful quiet home. The energy between me and my dc's and dh is frenetic when even one of us is revved up, and it's too much for me to handle when I am in labor.
