i'd call your MW. at this stage in the game not sure what the best way to treat would be. i haven't had one in a really long time, but the last time i used a clove of garlic...i know noordinaryspider posted about using a tampon soaked in yogurt (I think?). at this point i personally would want my MW's reccs/ok on the easiest way to go! good luck...itchy=yucky!

Yeah call your MW, but i am pretty sure a clove of garlic will help and not hurt, well unless you nick the garlic before you insert it, that could be stingy! As long as your membranes are intact, you should be fine w/ garlic or yogurt, The yogurt will be cool and soothing too! Good luck mama!

I've done the yogurt soaked tampon many times and it worked quickly each time. I also open a few probiotic caps and mix them in with the yogurt to get extra flora going on up in there. It does feel cool and soothing when you have the itchies. I can't handle garlic when I'm feeling irritated and itchy (sets me on fire) but I think most people can do garlic just fine...I would tell my midwife though just to see if she has any other ideas.
