ebay diap - is this just a bad pic? - Page 2

I will take pictures if you like on my 9 month old...
It is on the last snaps, the wings are extremely short and disporportionate. The legs are as shown, extremely ummm large...and the rise comes to midchest.
It is also very "chunky" in the soaker region.

This was my one and only Cuddlebun ( I have about 30) purchase that was completely off pattern.

Good idea about Emailing Cuddlebuns.

Have you guys clicked on the link to her home page? They are a lot cheaper than most CBs.

My son is super skinny, and that pattern would never fit him! So sorry Jenb that you had to waste your money on that.

I just wonder what she's thinking with that pattern? Does it fit her kids or does she just think it's cute that way?

Actually emailing Susan (who owns CuddleBuns) really wont do any good.. she doesnt guarantee quality in anyway.... my best suggestion would be to email the WAHM herself and politely let her know that you have some other Cuddlebuns and that hers are different and in what ways. As a former CuddleWAHM i would rather hear it from my customer than it get around to me or find it on a forum More than likely she doesnt realize she is doing something wrong and if know one said anything..... she would never know and people would keep buying them and being unhappy with them.. kwim? I am always appreciative of feedback whether it be positive or constructive criticism!

T I was just reading the guest book on her website and this guy Howard Smith signed it. What is with this guy? I have seen him in other diapering website guest books and he gives me the creeps.

I agree. Or maybe the front and back are switched?

I agree that there's something odd going on - also appears she doesn't own a double needle to make the lines perfectly parallel. It's too bad, b/c she has some REALLY cute prints and is obviously trying to make a go of it. Being a small-business owner myself I can respect that. Has someone emailed her? I'd hate to see her go out of business b/c we were all too chicken to email...

I think i can answer that one. He is loading guestbooks so Google and other search engines will find links to his site on other peoples web pages. It increases his relevancy in search listings. By relevancy I mean what the search engine thinks is relevant... :

ETA: Or he could just be their goofy friend

Thanks for the info Phoebe. That would make sense as he's always like "Nice diapers but put speakers on them". Now of all the websites to visit why does he pick cloth diapering ones?
(sorry OT again)

You know I was going to take you up on this offer, but I am pretty sure this won't even fit my alien babies! Geesh what is the world coming too!?

LOL

I just went and examined it closely...
It is turned and top-stitched, which makes it very bulky and stiff. I guess that would also account for some of the shortness in the wings??
Well this is how I "see it", and I do hope someone DOES email her and helps her notice the flaws....

1. 7 layers of sherpa? OMG, don't you think that's excessive (3 in diaper 3 in doubler + 1 body in sherpa and 2 body in interlock/knit. This diaper WOULD be super bulky and take forever to dry.

2. My first thought was "corseted baby waist?"

3. turn and topstitched CB?, hmmmmm I wonder if she has allowed for seam allowence.

i could keep critiquing, but that wont help and can only lead to hurt feelings. suffice it to say, i've never been a cb fan and this explains perfectly why when i suggested to kimi to have cottage sewers for her poopockt pattern why she refused due to not being able to control quality.

*sigh I feel for her, but imo she needs more experiance/practice. When I trade or sell I try to let people understand that I do this as a hobby, and am by far at wahm quality. I know my dipes aren't perfect as I'd want to see when I spend oodles of money (which I don't/won't charge until i feel they are worth it). some people dont see the imperfections.

Ok, I thought I was . I'm new to CuddleBuns, so I wasn't sure if it was just me. I'll send an email and see. I've already won one of her other auctions:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...ory=26269&rd=1
but it looked ok to my eye. Keep your fingers crossed for me!

My first CBs were from www.MyLittleTribe.com and I was sooo happy with them. So I hope this works out for the best.

I clicked on the instock link at her page, and all the CBs were $14.95 or so. But, I didn't notice that they don't come with a doubler. If you buy the doubler it comes out to about the same.

Why would you pin the waist for the pic? I think it makes it look funky... I guess she thought it looked cuter that way.
