labor positions...

I have been having semi intense contractions for as long as I can remember (at least the past week) every single day...

I was just wondering if there was any positions that I can get into that may kick those over into *real* active labor? I am desperate.

Someone mentioned the "leapfrog" position to me. I haven't tried too much yet. I should probably look it up and see how to do it correctly.

I'm in the same spot as you! I'd love to hear others advice.

ME TOO!!
though I guess until it's really time, maybe nothing could do it!

I would try something like hands/knees or leaning over your birth ball... this could help the baby position his/herself really well and apply to the cervix better, and also helps the uterus do it's job easier.

On the other hand, if it doesn't change by the time you'd normally go to bed, I would do what you can to relax so you can sleep!

Good luck!!

I agree with trying the hands and knees. The days leading up to my delivery I spent a ton of time on my hands and knees, we were grouting our kitchen floor! I think it worked for me since she was positioned perfectly for delivery!

I tried hands and knees and it hurt SO BAD. not where I wanted it to..but the sides of my belly felt like my skin was going to tear.

is that normal? I have NEVER done hands and knees while pg so I'm new at this...

It shouldn't feel like that. Maybe try a labor ball next to your bed. Sit on it and then lean forward, place your head on the bed and then just rock your pelvis. This will help position the baby and is a great position during labor. Good luck Mama!
