mucus plug? (TMI)

so, i'm having a fair amount of pale white, sticky/stringy discharge... I'm not normally much of a discharger. could this be my mucus plug coming out in bits?
If so, it still doesn't mean I'm going into labor tomorrow, right?

Yes, it does sound like your plug, but no, it doesn't necessarily let you know when labor will begin. It could be hours, days, or even weeks from the time you start to lose your plug until the time that labor begins. But it's definitely a sign of progress!!

let them know. They will probably tell you the same, it could still be awhile, but I think they would want to know all that's going on. My midwife always ask about a change in discharge and reminds me to let her know if there is a change.

Wow, I didn't realize the plug could be white. I have had a lot of whitish discharge in the last few days but I figured it was just -- dunno, discharge!! I had some globbier stuff come out this morning.

I actually haven't told my midwife... I don't want to jinx it!!

I don't want to jinx it, but I also don't want to bother them, as it's not dramatic.... maybe I'll text my doula.

smokeylo-- before I posted here, I googled "mucus plug discharge" and got confirmation that it can definitely be white, and disguised as just discharge.

I'm not sure what I was thinking during the entire 39wks...but for some reason it didn't hit me until he was born that I was actually having a REAL LIVE BABY. (with my oldest)

I spent his first two weeks in a fog of "what the hell...I have a BABY?? how did THAT happen?!"

Cicely - I had lots of exactly what you describe on & off for (sorry) about 2 weeks. about 36 hours before I had Rosemary, it was tinged lightly with blood. The night before, it was definitely more than tinged with blood, but the same consistency. And combined with menstrual-type cramps. It definitely means your getting closer, one way or another! But - sorry - doesn't mean tomorrow...but soon!
