That seems odd. I haven't test in a couple of months, but I used quite a few $ tree tests in the past, and I never even had a HINT of a line - nada! So certainly not all of them are evaps, and I've never heard of problems with them before.

It does seem odd! You must have gotten tests from a bad batch. I've never gotten a line (before the time limit) on a dollar store test unless I was pg. What a bummer that it happened to you so many times

I second the digital tests! I've gotten BFPs at 9 and 10 DPO with afternoon pee. No guessing about lines with those!

I thought it was a little odd as well as pretty much all I could find online said that dollar tests were really good & didn't have evaps.... But now all but 2 out of 7 have lines... 3 showed up hours later, but that is still odd as I have never gotten any kind of line with anything else even when I was 1,2,3 & 4 week pg with my ds & I did check them all hours & even days later...

That's exactly what my first dollar store tests looked like when I was pg. I've never gotten an evap on them, and I know they are quite sensitive.

So I tested with both a clear blue digital & a FRER, both bfn I don't know what I was thinking trying to test this early... I took a FRER when I was 2, 3, 4 & almost 5 weeks pg w/ ds (got a bfp at the dr's 3 days later after I started throwing up out of the blue) and never got even the faintest line...: So I guess if I don't get my af by the end of this next week it's prolly another 2ww for me before I can test w/ any hope of a bfp... I don't know what I should do though b/c I'm supposed to go to a naturopath on the 3rd who does acupuncture as well & she wants to start doing weekly acupuncture to help me w/ o'ing which is prolly not a good idea if I'm pg... :P

On a side note -
Any one have super sensitive teeth as a pg symptom? Yesterday I had intense pain in my teeth that felt like someone was drilling into them. & then today I can hardly stand anything cold on my teeth b/c it' so painful... When I told my mom she said "your pregnant"... Anyone else have this?

YES!! One of the first things that I notice. It drives me crazy! Eveyrthing hurts them and brushing is a nightmare.

I wouldn't base any of your doubt on the fact that a previous pg didn't test positive that early - every pg is different. I also wouldn't worry over test resutlsd this early (like the FRER etc) if you didn't use first morning urine (I see your post was at like 6 in the evening?).
Oh yeah and I noticed sensitive teeth recently and didn't even occur to me that it could be yet another pg symptom! (Although it can also be a normal life symptom that develops as well).
There's still hope -I would wait a couple days and then test again with FMU.

I did want to ask if you are peeing onto the stick directly, or dipping. When I was TTC I had a problem with evap lines looking like BFPs, and it turned out that when I was dipping, I was leaving it in too long - longer than the directions recommended. The extra fluid was traveling into the spot where it gets soaked up at the end, and then "bouncing back" the color onto the line.

I just thought I'd mention it since it was a "duh" moment for me - like, the directions are there for a reason! Dipping it longer wasn't going to make a negative into a positive no matter how I wanted it to be so.

Do you have insurance? Can you go request a blood beta? I would do that. Tell the doctor you had a positive test (which I think you did), and then negative test, but you haven´t gotten af yet. That should warrant a blood test.

I would love to hear more about your previous experience w/no postives w/the FRER. I'm 15dpo (2 days late for af, as I always get it at 13dpo) and have every pregnancy symptom except a negative FRER! I did get a REALLLLLLYYYYY faint + on a $ Store test yesterday, but I have no more of those. I'm tearing my hair out here!

The dollar store test I used you pee in a cup & then use a little dropper to put 4 drops of pee on the "pee well" It's pretty hard to screw up even for me

You don't have to pay for blood tests here But b/c of that they can be hard to get b/c dr's tell you it's to expensive unless your high risk or have a really good reason that you need to know asap...: I had one last month b/c I had a ton of spotting/bleeding last month and my dr. was worried about possible tubal pregnancy & didn't trust a urine test b/c of the history w/ my ds... So I'm not sure if I can get one or not... I have an appointment w/ my baby dr. on the 3rd, so I'll see if she thinks there is any chance I'm pg & go from there... She's pretty good at being able to tell just from doing an internal and feeling your uterus etc...

I completely understand that every pg is different... & I'm not even getting my hopes up that I am pg or anything like that... I just don't want to do anything stupid if I am pg... & I would also like to find out what is wrong w/ me if I'm not... I'm soo exhausted I can barely function (like down to the bones exhaustion, not sleepy tired), my brain feels foggy & I keep forgetting stuff, my back hurts so bad I can't sleep, heat makes me queasy, my groin is hard & feels like I'm pulling something when I stretch at all & I've started to get random piercing pain in my abs & beside my boob... So if I'm pg if I'm not but that's fine... I just want to feel better or be able to tell people why I can't handle much right now other then caring for ds & dh right now & to be able to take care of my body...

I went to the dr b/c I was super tired, felt faint when I had a bath/shower, I couldn't sleep, had cramps after a bath/bding wasn't having periods since going off bcp... So I thought it was side effects from the bcp screwing w/ my body... But when I went to the dr he right aways did a pg test & then offered me bcp to straighting things out... Went to other dr's & got the same thing test - = bcp...(which is the last thing I wanted) Finally I decided that since every dr I went to thought I was pg when I told them the symptoms I was just going to keep testing weekly till my af came back... Tested weekly w/ FRER (always no doubt about it -) till one night I started throwing up & didn't stop for 10 hours. I went to the dr's (I nannied so I didn't want to give the kids something awful) she felt my tummy & asked if there was anyway I could be pg? I said it's possible but I doubt it... Well I was beyond shocked that she came back & said that I was in fact pg! They thought I was somewhere around 8 - 10 week pg b/c of my last af, but when they did the ultrasound they changed my due date by a month which made it 5 weeks pg when I found out... Sorry that was so long... I hope you got some of the info you were looking for... Any other questions just ask... & good luck to you!

freaky...

you ladies are freaking me out!! I got on here to ask this exact question! I tool a $ store test this morning and there was "something". I went to pee on a stick.com and there were no evap photos, and of course my scanner is fritzy so I can't have you ladies scrutinize for me. it looked like maybe, but I am on CD 90 and I was really just doing it in case... But now you have me double guessing myself.. I am going to pee on another brand... miracles could happen!! : please please please BFP'S FOR ALL!! I was about to take a TTC break to give myself some time away from this insanity and refocus myself. holy crap please!

ok, I never freak about these things, (mostly because I have never even got anything that was faintly anything) But stay with me.. I am about to lose my mind. I got some pics and they look promising.. but I am cautiously optimistic, (who am I kidding. kwim?) Ok here they are... what do you think? get back to me soon, I am going balistic, and i plan to POAS in the morning!

Have you tested again kriket?

Today is the day af is due for me & I have cramps : but not my usual af cramps, so I'm trying to stay hopeful that I could be pg and the cramps are from bding this morning... (I had cramps after bding w/ ds)
