My first ever evap line? *Update* Dollar store test = lots of evap lines? - Page 3

i did test with an 'answer' brand, it was BFN then i went to POAS.com and the $test is sensitive to 25 and answer is sensitive at 100?! : i think i will wait a week and test again... maybe with FRER. maybe another $ test. a friend said the $ test worked well for her, and it even held it's colour.

So, I just read about a bad batch of dollar store tests, from lot number 10267C36E

This is totally third hand, but maybe you can find some more info by googling.

So I thought that the dollar store hpts here were the same as in the states... Turns out that they used to be, but they got pulled b/c they weren't Health Canada approved... So the ones they sell in the dollar store now are called Pro-Care & they are made in Canada (by A & D Fiasta?) & I can find next to nothing on them.. But I don't think that mine would be in the same batch as yours then... So I don't know maybe all the Canadian ones aren't good...

Sorry about the ... Hopefully you will get a next week.

I tested again this morning & just got another colorless indented line : and I still have cramps So I'm not holding on to much hope at this point...

Oh my gosh! I'm so glad I read this! I wouldn't doubt if that batch is messed up b/c I have 4 REALLY deceiving false positives from that very batch, I just checked the boxes now. Like, colored and wide second lines. I did a separate post where I had a BFP and then BFN and this morning I had a BFN on FRER.

I'm still early in the game since I'm either 11 dpo or 12 dpo, but how disappointing and emotionally messed up these past 2 days have been for me.

All I can say is WOW!

I am glad to find this too (not glad for those of you who suffered through false hopes though).

I don't currently have any PG tests in my possession, but if I needed to test this cycle for some reason I was going to buy a $ tree test because they're so cheap. Looks like I'll have to shell out the big buck$ instead, but that's even more incentive to *not* test since I don't want to spend lots of money.

^^^ Oh nooooo!!!! I am home from work today b/c of the snow & I have been on a cleaning spree the last couple of days. Well, I was organizing stuff under my bathroom sinks and lo and behold I came across TWO Dollar Tree pregnancy tests that I didn't know I still had. *ahhh*

Thankfully they are NOT the same lot #. I must have bought them way back in December, because the last time I tested was November 26th. Oh... no... now I am going to have a harder time keeping from testing in a few days. MUST.RESIST.

Did you check the batch number on your tests as well? I've heard someone else who had a different batch number, but same exp. of 01/2010 with the same issue. Also, they said if the box has "FDA" on the outside those are the newer ones that may be having problems.

Like TTC isn't emotional enough, right? Good luck!

Mine are Health Canada Approved, exp. 09...

No kidding! Of all the months it has to be this one! I have all the symptom's & my family is telling me I'm pg & I think I might have a chance getting a & all I get is evaps!!! : I'm losing hope & I just want af to come if I'm not pg, so I can start over...: Thanks

If you are talking about New Choice they are made in BC, Canada & then distributed in the states b/c they aren't approved for sale here... a bit ironic....

No I was waiting till I go to the Dr. on the 3rd... I wasted so much money on tests when I was pg with ds, that I'm trying not to spend that much again if it's going to be for nothing... I told my dh to remind me when I do get pg & know for sure to use a FRER just to make sure it works for me lol.

Why are you so convinced that they are evaps? The latest round looks like they have some color to them in the pictures. Did they come up in the time frame? I think you´ve got some early positives on your hands there.

I don´t have my pics anymore from my early positives. They would have been classified by anyone as evaps because they came up waaaaay after the time limit, and they were super faint (at 9 or 10 dpo). And now he's squealing and babbling on the floor

Don't want to disappoint myself or anyone else with false hope I guess... Everyone in my family is sure I'm pg (including dh) and everyone else I know is waiting for/wondering when I'm going to get pg again since they know we want lots of babies (and since my cousins are popping out babies right left & center)... & I'm scared of disappointing everyone and not being able to get pg again at all... Stupid but true...
