Her first day went GREAT!

My 3 year old DD went to her first day of Mont school yesterday and I was so overwhelmed with how much I love this school and the teachers that it almost made me cry. The teachers and owner are so patient and they made my DD feel right at home (and she took about an hour to warm up to them). They didn't push her into anything and just let her hang out and observe. I can't believe that I have found such a wonderful place for my DD after everything she has been through with horrible schools!! The only bad thing about this is that it's only one half day a week!! They don't have any more days available right now, but that will most likely change in a few months. I really want at least two half days a week and preferably three.

My girl chose the pink tower as her first ever Montessori job (although I did remind her that there were pink blocks on the shelf that she liked the last time we were there when we toured the school )

I love Montessori!!!!! I need my bumpersticker.

That's great! It made me feel ok leaving my clingy kid in Montessori because I trusted the teachers to treating him lovingly and with respect. I need a bumpersticker, too!

Congratulations! I just started my almost 3yo in 5 days a week. I LOVE the school so much and they made it so easy for him. Apparently I am in the "need a bumpersticker" crowd.

I am glad it went so well and they made her feel right at home, that's how it should be.
