Damn damn double damn... hospital visit.

So today I'm 40 +5 and my blood pressure shot up again. So I called my midwife and she told me to call the hospital.
So I'm off to the hospital.
I wanted a home birth, and now I'm worried they're going to induce me.
damn.

Good luck, mama. Remember that no matter what happens you'll be fine.

Sending healthy easy (home) labor vibes- Hope that you don't need the induction

Deep breaths! I had to go in to l&d right at my due date with high BP too and they just did blood work (to make sure I didn't show signs of pre-e or HELLP) and did a non-stress test to make sure baby's heart rate and movement were good. They didn't talk of inducing because my bloodwork all came back fine. My HB midwife said that it isn't uncommon for BP to rise when you are about to go into labor soon- its like your body saying "I'm ready to be DONE!"

You don't have to agree to induction if your bloodwork comes back fine. I'm sure it will.
