Knitted farm animals

So I want to knit a set of farm animals...
Does anyone have this book: http://www.amazon.com/Knitted-Animal...=cm_cr_pr_pb_i

I have "Toymaking with Children" and that has basic patterns for farm animals too, but I was wondering if the above book provided a bit more detailed patterns?

I haven't seen that one before! It looks wonderful. I have The Knitted Farmyard by Hannelore Wernhard, Kath Dalmeny's World of Knitted Toys, and Debbie Bliss's Toy Knits. All have farm animals, on different scales, and all are fun books. I may need to add this one you've found to my collection though!

ETA sadly, I just looked at the prince, and even though I really want it, I think it's a bit our of my price range right now (I'm supposed to be on a book and yarn diet!)

Alison- your sig reminded me of a little story. My DP was returning a phone call one day and a 4-year-old Thomas nut answered the phone. My DP asked to speak to the mommy and identified himself as "Thomas". The 4-year-old freaked out, hung up, and ran to her mom- "You know Thomas?!?!"

Mom was ROTFL when she called back and explained a few minutes later. Her poor dd was very disappointed that DP is just a regular guy and not actually "Thomas".

Lol.

Two things

First--that 4 year old would so totally be my DS!

Second--you're banned for mentioning Canada? Wow, I'm glad I took any reference to Canada out of my location!

I was looking at Kath Dalmeny's World of Knitted Toys also. But, how is the scale? For example: Will the cat be the same size as the horse?

I don't think that the animals in World of Knitted Toys are all to scale. The Knitted Farmyard they are for sure. World of Knitted Toys the parrot is bigger than the cat, for example. World of Knitted Toys is divided into themed sections, so everything in the Australia section is to scale with each other, as is everything in the rainforest section. But the Australian stuff isn't necessarily in scale with the rainforest stuff. Does that make sense?

I have that book and have knitted the chickens. It's easy to understand and has some adorable patterns. It is a nice book and I definately enjoy having it in my collection.
