Going to an LLL meeting

I'm going to my first LLL meeting soon, I want to meet more mothers like me.
But, stupid question-- can I just go, or do I need to become a member before I can?
Thanks!

You can just go. I went for about 6 months before I became a member. Have fun!

Just go - the meetings are free, but the groups are run by volunteers and all the expenses come from memberships and fundraising, so if you like the meetings/think it's important to have the group, it's $40 well spent.

Yep. Just go. They will have membership info there and will probably mention the benefits of joining, but there shouldn't be any pressure to join at all. You could attend forever and never join. I've just been to two LLL meetings (and two different groups). I think at both meetings they passed around a sign-in sheet and on that was a little box to check to indicate whether or not you were a member. I wasn't, checked "no," and no one ever said a word.

I went for about six months before I went to LLL. I love LLL. I met so many great women and have a wider circle of friends now.
