I eat 'em plain I've been half-skinning a couple in the morning, then slicing them up and carrying them around with me all day. It's amazing how quickly you can eat two cucumbers that way! I've also been fortifying my normal RRL/nettle preggo tea w/ dandelion root, to give extra liver support

That's wonderful news mama!!

Wonderful! Cucumbers have been an awesome snack to have around the house. I can eat a whole one, plain, in a matter of minutes, and not feel the least bit guilty, like my other "snacks".

Hey Mama, I'm so glad things are better for you....can I ask you what homeopathic remedies you're on? My b.p. was up a little and I guess I've had a slight trace of protein in my urine the last few visits(but the midwifes didn't tell me until today)...I have to do a 24 hour urine test and a blood test next week, and thought maybe I could try the homeopathic remedies also...?

Thanks, Sara

Sure! I've been:

- eating at LEAST 60g protein/day
- drinking RRL, nettle and dandelion root tea (about 2L a day)
- eating 1-2 cucumbers a day
- taking it pretty easy, but still making sure I take short, easy walks (5-10 min)
- repeating the mantra "I feel my blood pressure returning to normal" whenever I remember to

I'm also meditating around 10-15 each evening to relax my self, during which I also:
- visualize my body working joyfully to nourish itself and my baby
- visualize my cervix opening
- talk to my baby, telling her we're ready for her to come and urging her to move down

I hope these things my work for you, too! Stay healthy, mama!

Not in your DDC but my MW also rec.s a minimum of 100g protein a day for preventing/lessening pre-e.
She has these on her site:
Brewer Diet Info: http://www.sgbirthservices.com/brewer.pdf
Nutrition Worksheet (food list and protein values, plus a blank page for food diary): http://www.sgbirthservices.com/nutrition.pdf

Hope all goes well for you.

I was spilling protein a month or so ago as well, and my mw said to really concentrate on the protein (definately 80, try to get 100 or more). She told me to add a protein shake if I was really having trouble. I did that, and no more protein! Woo hoo! Shakes aren't horrible, and are easy to do so that might be an easy way to get your body back in balance. So glad to hear your bp is down too!
