doctor call went like this:

Well I called the office and demanded to talk to a nurse.
Got her and she basically told me that the doctor would do nothing for me till I was 38 weeks. Then he would induce. I told her that was NOT going to happen I wanted a appointment to talk about what happened in L&D. She told me that it was all in vain since he wouldn't help anything along until then. The pain that I honestly think is ripping me apart is able to be managed with a tylenol. That I shoudl know that since I declined narcotics at the hospital. I reminded her that I DO NOT TAKE PAIN RELIEVERS well and that I have always in the past no matter the pain of child birth declined anything that could pass the placenta barrier. So after we spent several more minutes I have a appt at 1:30 tommorrow. Really can I slap her now? Just fed up with the entire situation.
AS OF NOW
still contracting about every 15 minutes
baby is moving fine
can't walk or roll over without intense cervical pain ( ITs the HOT pain where it hurts so bad you start to sweat)
back pain

How close are you to 38 weeks? I really hope they will do something for you; you are so strong, advocating for yourself despite the pain you are in. : for a great appt tomorrow!

Isn't there anything that could help?????

Ive been in this same boat as you since 35 weeks as well. We are trying to have a home birth thus no inductions (also vbac another reason for no induction). I am 39 weeks today & I am MISERABLE, MEAN, & potentially INSANE. I wish you a better 3 weeks than I have had.

oh man. What a pain!

I'm wondering if your baby is malpositioned. Sometimes really long labors like this are trying to turn your baby into a better position.

Just a thought from someone not in your DDC!

What a jerk of a doc. Can you switch or are you stuck with this guy?

~Robin - I wish I could smack him for you. Is he in a multi-doctor practice? I would call the head of practice and demand a conversation. I would aslo switch care providers. Perhaps calling back the head of L&D at the hospital and explaining the situation could help move things along. It is obvious this doctor is not interested in *your* well-being at all. And why is the nurse acting like a gatekeeper? You should be able to speak with the doctor directly. I would relate my concerns and then report him. This behavior is absolutely unacceptable. :
