Was hoping for a homebirth with this babe, but it is not looking that way...in NY, while insurance has to cover homebirth, they have made it tricky-they will pay for it if you can find an OB to attend the birth OR if you can hire the
one midwife in my area that has the 'proper' certification to bill the insurance company. Well, Susan is booked solid and I would be pretty darn bummed even if she wasn't to not have Kelly attend this birth as she was there with Em and is such a dear friend. So we are planning for a birth at the birthing center which in all fairness is quite lovely and cozy and has fabulous jacuzzi tubs and a kitchen to cook in-but isn't home... (but between you, me, and the lamp post I am secretly lusting for a UC
Who knows? Maybe labor will just go too quickly!)
