okay, so 2 weeks ago i posted about how my US showed some soft markers for Trisomies 18 and 21. 2 days later i got the results of my quad screen which showed a significantly increased risk for Trisomy 21 and a moderatly increased risk for Trisomy 18. I just sort of fell apart then. I had an amnio done the next day, and now, 14 days later (but whose counting?) I got the news that my baby girl is:

100% normal

I just can't describe how i am feeling. I am going to have a daughter!!! now i guess i need to get back on track with eating right, exercising, housecleaning all those things i neglected while i was stuck waiting.

I'm having a GIRL

Congratulations!
I can only imagine how happy and relieved you must be.

I can't believe how many stories there are like this. All the unneeded stress! It makes me feel angry, somehow.

I guess it really is a product of technology, if this was 30 yrs ago or i had chosen to UP i never would have known my AFP and Estroil levels were off or the baby had a what basically boils down to a fat neck.

but, yes to the other posters, it was hell, i was barely able to concentrate on anything, i was pretty much a zombie. i gained.......9 lbs over the past 2 weeks (sarcasm) I'm a stress eater
