mama cloth and clots?

I have been curious about using cloth pads, but very hesitant based on what my periods have been like lately.

I tend to get large clots (due to my pcos crazy hormones). I used a keeper for about a year, but the clots forced me to abandon that. A clot would pass and the thing would overflow like mad. I could empty it every hour on my heavy days and still need a thick pad to catch what leaked. And emptying it would look like a scene from "Carrie". So I switched back to pads only. (When I first started using my keeper, this didn't happen. It gradually got worse as the year went on. I was hoping that maybe the keeper had something to do with it, but I haven't used it in more than a year, and the clots have only gotten worse/larger.)

So my question is, does anyone here deal with larger clots and successfully use mama cloth? Do you have any problems with leaking?

Clots

I used a preemie or infant pf in thirds on top of my usual mama cloth to deal w/ heay flow and clots (peggy from homemademama.com), organic cotton/hemp with wings, during the pp period 6 weeks w/no leaks.

That's an option. Hugs. I have pcos too but am not cycling due to nursing.
