Is anyone else having trouble eating/drinking enough?

I'm just curious if anyone else is having trouble eating and drinking enough? It seems like I'm not very hungry and when I try to eat, I get full so fast. And drinking, Ugh..I know it's good for the baby, but man, I just can't seem to find enough room for everything.

I am 36 weeks tomorrow, but I am short, so wondering if maybe I just have less room for food/water.

Trying to make the most of the meals I do have. But I just don't remember being this way with my other pregnancies.

I was the same way a couple weeks ago (I'm 38w now). During any given hour, I could eat or drink abut 1/2 c. of anything, if I wanted it to stay down. So I'd have to choose between food or water. I ended up eating a lot of soup!

Now that the baby's dropped, I have a lot more room in my stomach Hopefully the same will happen for you!

Soups a good idea!! Thanks!!

I was kind of wondering if my baby had already dropped with all the peeing/pressure down below, but more than likely not. I can hope that is soon to come though. Sara

I have this problem too. I am 5'1" and 36 weeks, with a pretty normal-sized baby based on the guess-timates. To eat my apple yesterday, I cut it into fourths and nibbled on it what seemed like all afternoon when it's usually my mid-morning snack. Last night, I gave up trying to be comfortable, I was so hungry and had 2 pieces of pork, dressing, and salad for dinner: I could still taste it from the indigestion this morning in the back of my throat. The funny thing is my brain is always telling me I haven't had enough while my stomach is telling me I've been pigging out all day. It's weird, hope you feel better soon.

I have to do a lot of smoothies and soups. I'm not short, exactly, but I have a LOT of baby and no room for my stomach, and acid reflux, and my digestion has slowed down a lot, too. Ugh. Plus, I just need so *MUCH* food compared with my non-pregnant self. Eating is my full time job. I have the Blue Ribbon Babies chart on the fridge and I have to eat every 2-4 hours in the middle of the night in order not to wake up so starving that I feel like I am going to die. During the day, I'm pretty much eat non-stop -- small sips and bites and such, to get all the nutrients in there without them coming back up on me. (Oh, I can't wait for the birth!!!!)

Mumse - eating's my full-time job these days too... I have a great appetite and food tastes great even tho I fill up fast. So I too snack all day... my poor teeth are probably just rotting away
