He turned!

I know there are a few of us here with breech positioned babies...so I wanted to share some positive news!

I am 36 weeks and just got back from the follow-up ultrasound. And he flipped! I didn't even feel him do it! So we are back on track with our homebirth plan. Oh no! That means the midwife will be visiting our house in two weeks! Yikes, I have to clean!

Sending good position vibes to everyone else! :

that is great Mama!! I know with my 4th baby, my DD was breech, and it caused me a lot of stress. It was a great relief when she turned and things could go as planned.

I'm sorry! I hesitated posting because I didn't want to make anyone jealous.

I hope all of our babes turn head down before show time!

CONGRATULATIONS!!! I'm approaching 36 weeks and mine is still breech! What do you think did it for you? I'm contemplating whether or not to even have the external version because I don't want the baby to feel the effects of the medicine they'll give me to relax the uterus. What if she turns on her own in the next few weeks? It's such a gamble!

Popping in from April. Can I ask, what did you try to get him to turn?

That's great news, btw. I'm sure you're relieved!!!

Honestly, I thought I wasn't doing enough to turn him. I did do quite a bit of "cat/cow" and other yoga postures that had been recommended. (No headstands though, I can't do them when I am not pregnant!) I laid inverted on an ironing board for awhile in the evenings. But, I got sick two weeks ago with bronchitis and fever and did nothing for a good week or more.

I saw a chiropractor, but he didn't know how to do the Webster technique, and didn't know of anyone in the state that did. (But he did pop some places in my pelvis.) I saw the most recommended and reputable acupuncturist in town (who was an OB in Taiwan) and he said there was nothing he could do. And due to finances, I don't have to access to a pool.

So, I just tried to stay positive and trust that things would go the way they should, breech or not. I wondered if I was doing enough...but maybe I didn't really feel like doing much more because he had actually turned? I don't know!

Yay for head down babies! So exciting!

My baby flipped at 34 weeks or so to head down... I don't know if it was the slant board, the hands and knees, the chiro adjustment (mine didn't know the Webster technique either) or just that it was time and baby was more comfortable head down at that point. Whatever it was, I was relieved!

Fantastic!!! We are still breech . . . .have seen the chiro twice so far this week (he doesn't know the Webster technique, but spoke with someone about it and how to align the sacrum, etc). . . . c/s sched for Monday . . . .

trying to remain positive. . . and Monday will be fine if she remains breech. I can't wait to meet her!!!! (stubborn thing!)

Don't be sorry!!! I'm very happy for you. It's nice to hear positive stories.
I'm also having a c/section Monday, and I'm really excited to meet my baby.

Good luck breech mommies. My MW helped her client turn a baby a few months ago with her Acupuncturist. I think you guys ought to try talking to the baby, though. Just tell them what you need. That's how I got my baby to ease up on my cervix.
