Knit Pattern Grading?

Hi all
I'm a new knitter and this my first venture into this board. I think I'll be back a lot.

I have found a sweet pattern for a sweater that I would love to make for ds. However, he would be a size 4 and the pattern only goes up to 18 mo. Is there a way I can grade it easily? Does anyone know of a place with instructions for grading knit patterns?

Alternatively I found someone online that I could pay to grade it for me but I was just wondering if it would be possible to do it myself.

OK- can you post a link to the pattern so we can talk you through it?

Depending on the type of sweater, it could just be a matter of plugging a dew design elements into a calculate-your-own sweater pattern....
