Cloth Wipe Recipe

I am having a newborn in March, and as with my last one (ds is now 2) I want to move more in to a natural way of life. The problem is that I am lazy, and even though I know things are better for me if it take to much work it will not get done I am trying I get better at this fault, but till then... I am trying to get my self in an all cloth world, we just changed over to cloth diapers for outings I am looking for something nice to use on my children when using cloth wipes. My ds I generally would just toss in the bath and wash off but as of late he has not wanted to do this, so we are back to wipes. What is your recipe? (I know. I know, I should a lest try and train him, but I do not know where to start , I will post about this later, if you happen to have any input here please feel free...)I know that lavender and TTO if believed to cause an off set in boy, but I do not mind making one thing for my ds, and something else for the dlo if its a dd. Do you know of anything else that one should not use on a boy? how about a girl?

THANKS

Well I have b/g twins and use water. Sometimes when they were younger I'd wait for it to warm but most of the time it was just cold from the tap. We are out of diapers but still use cloth wipes for poop. My sister is better about the water issue and got a pump pot from a resale shop to keep on her bathroom counter to have warm water available all day for her newborn. In all the thousands of diapers we changed in two and a half years, I never felt water wasn't enough. Congrats on the new babe!

I fill a squirt bottle with distilled water and then add about a teaspoon of soap (Dr. Bronners), maybe 2 t. olive oil and a few drops of TTO.

I use warm water from the bathroom tap. It does take like maybe a minute to get warm though... maybe that is wasteful? I hadn't thought of it until reading about the pump - good idea!!!

My little boy hasn't had a diaper rash to date - knock on wood! Btw he's almost 6 months.

I use a spray bottle with water and a little bit of oil in it. But, I live in Phoenix where a nice blast of cold water to the tush feels kinda good.

i use warm water with a little coconut oil on it. for a while i was using store bought wipes and ds started getting minor diaper rashes. now that i've resumed cloth wipes, it's been a lot better.

We also use water - I just keep a wipes warmer filled with the water so it is warm. I started using Baby Bits on DS1 when he was eating solids and I felt he needed a bit more cleaning action. They are super simple - just toss it in the wipes warmer and it dissolves. I felt it worked better than just water. Now that he is using the toilet and I am back to newborn diapering only then I am back to just water.
