If I have trouble with Instead Cups, will I have trouble with Diva Cup too?

I used Instead Cups before I got pregnant with no problems. Now I just got my first postpartum cycle at 8 months and the Instead Cups do not work. I was planning to get a Diva Cup, but I'm wondering if I will have the same problem? The cups are always nearly empty. I wonder if it would be a Kegal muscle tone problem? So if you've used both, do you have problems with one and not the other?

I have never used the Instead cups with success (more like leaks and mess) but the Diva has been perfect for me.

i love my Diva cup, and the one time i was out of town and got surprised by a period i picked up some of those instead cups and they were a total nightmare. they're really not similar to the diva cup at all. i would definitely give the diva a try!

The are like comparing apples to oranges. Instead sits high inside by the cervix, the diva cup sits much lower. Give the diva cup a try. I love mine.

I use both. I tend to do Instead the first day or so of heavy flow (Diva leaks for me then) and then switch to my Diva. My Diva has to be placed up high or it leaks no matter when. I think I like Instead the best but don't want to "waste" the money I spent on the Diva. Also, following advice from here, I rinse my Instead and re-use until I switch over the the Diva.

Instead cups didn't work for me at all- they were a leaky mess! But I've had good results with The Keeper years ago and the Divacup now.
