Do you want to host our Flat Stanley?

My boys are looking for ideas of places that Flat Stanley might like to travel. Is anyone here living somewhere interesting or going on a trip and want to take Flat Stanley along? Let me know!
We're also happy to host a FS, in Asheville, NC.

we're going to texas next week.... we're in SC I'll take it... but, p.s. what is a flat stanley? LOL

We live near the Statue of LIberty. We could take old Stanley out there. My grandchildren did this a few years ago. Only there Stanley was a little stuffed lion. We took him on vacation all over New Hampshire and Maine. He had a great time. Let me know if you want our address.

Flat Stanley is usually a picture of a man/boy. That's why it's flat. He comes with his own journal. He travels all over the world and the people he travels with take pictures of him doing all kinds of fun things. The pictures go in the journal and then you send him on to the next person on the list.

When my grandchildren did it, they used a stuffed lion. We took him on vacation and took pictures of him at a Moose Crossing, riding a train, on the top of Mount Washington.

I love that book!

Flat Stanley is welcome to visit Connecticut. We can take him cross country skiing, maple sugaring and to dance class.

Fun idea!

flat stanley can visit us if you'd like. i live in a very rural area in SC (think mayberry literally) and not too far from charlotte.....so i don't know if that kind of adventure would be too exciting since you're so close in ashville. we are going to the theater next friday to see snow white....we also do pottery each week & piano and sewing/gardening co-op, and next month we'll hit the beach for a vacation - so if that sounds like a flat stanley adventure - he's welcome to hang with us and i'll get some pix for you

ha! Beat me to it! BUT...I have a beachhouse on Point Judith in Narragansett, RI (we can see Block Island from the ferry station). Lots of historic light houses, ferries, etc. If Stanley would like to visit in the summer, I'd love to show him around.

We would love to have FS come to the beaches of Cape Cod in Massachusetts -- even though it's winter . Would love to have him visit. Does he like clam chowder??

Flat Stanley in the Middle East! We are americans living in Bahrain- could probably get a pic of Flat Stanley on a camel or with some locals. Id have him sent to my NY address and forwarded thru Aramex....sometimes things get lost in the regular mail--Im sure the customs folks here would love opening that box ( ha ha

We are in central oregon. Cows, horses, alfalfa fields, the cascade and ochoco mountain ranges. Be glad to get a pic of stanley on a lava cone, in an alfalfa field, on a plateau, under a juniper tree, with the mts behind him... plus the usual stuff like dance class and open gym.

OMG! Thank you guys so much for all the offers!! I wasn't expecting nearly this response! Tomorrow, the boys and I will find all your locations on a map and I'll have them pick a few out (we may have to do multiple Stanleys ). I'll pm whoever they pick for your address. Again, thanks again!

If you'll extend the offer to Canada, we'd love to host too! We live in Northern Alberta, but will be travelling to the rockies in April, if he'd like to come. Or, we'll be in southern Ontario (Toronto, Niagara Falls) in the summer.

We'd love to host Flat Stanley, too :-) Or maybe somebody else who participates would want that if you've already chosen. We are expats with 2 kids (6 y.o. dd and 3 y.o ds) living in Bangalore, India. And we're taking a trip to Vietnam in May...

My MIL would love to do it -- she is in the SF Bay area! When I told her our plans about homeschooling, her only concern was that she wouldn't get to do Flat Stanley!!! I have promised her that we will do it when the time comes.

We're game. We are in Iowa on the Mississippi River. If the timing is good we can take him to an old button factory we've been meaning to visit.
