Just want to introduce myself. I am 22 yrs old and a mother to a beautiful baby girl who is 21 mths and having another little girl March 15th. I WAS engaged to their father after being together 7 yrs but right now we're taking a little break because things have been kind of crazy between us. We're friends as of right now and still living together. Yea, how crazy is that?

Anyhoo, just thought I'd let you all know a little about me, and if it's okay I stick around.

Hi! And welcome!

I don't post much but I've been here all the same for pretty much this whole pregnancy. We have the same due date but I tell most people who ask that I'm due mid-March so I don't get hung up on a date.

Are you all prepared for baby #2? This will be baby #4 for me and I'm definately not ready, but that's another thread...

I'd love to hear what kind of birth you're planning. I'll be trying for my first homebirth after 3 hospital w/ epi births.

Great to have you around!

Hey thanks guys!
Cherona, with my first pregnancy I just went to the hospital and had an epidural. I went 6 hours without having one but I just couldn't take it anymore! It was HORRIBLE. I was in labor for 17 and a half hours. I had back labor SEVERELY. I don't even know what real stomach contractions feels like lol. With this pregnancy I'm going to give birth at the hospital but I'm going to try and not have another epidural. I just think if I keep telling myself the pain isn't going to be forever I'll be okay. Because honestly, epidural's slow down the process of labor/contractions. You'll only be in labor longer, but if you DON'T take an epidural it'll actually go faster because of the contractions and dialation. Anyway, I think I'm going to give birth before March 15th, that's for sure lol. I feel ready...I think everything will be alright. My daughter is 21 months old and she's very lovable. A lot of people keep saying she's going to be jealous but I don't think so. Yea, all kids get jealous from time to time but I think everything is going to be alright. She's very helpful and smart, she picks up on EVERYTHING so fast so I think it'll be okay. I had severe post-partum depression with her and I'm just praying I don't go through that again. At times I feel myself getting depressed but that's because of relationship, money, and other problems, not because of the fact I'm having another baby. At first I kept wondering why I did this lol but I'm okay now. I always say everyone adjusts and I'm sure you will too. It's going to be hard but I think you can do it. And hey, if you can handle 4 I can definitly handle 2 lol .

I just want to have this baby already!! I keep checking in the bathroom lol. My lower back and my sides are killing me today. Actually, I haven't been feeling "right" since yesterday so I don't know what that's about. I've been told with your second child you end up having them earlier than your first. I guess it's because you've been in labor before, plus it wasn't long ago that I had my daughter. I just hear the labor is A LOT more painful!! Well anyway, I just hope it happens SOON!!

Again, thank you guys for writing back to me and welcoming me into this board! I appreciate it!!!!

My 2nd did come sooner at about 38wks and the labor was easier and faster too but I think that is mostly due to my first being posterior and having back labor.

But then my 3rd did not come early (just a couple of days after my EDD). And it was another longer labor with back labor. So you just never know what kind of labor it will be or when the baby will come.

So far this baby is not posterior so I'm hoping for a shorter and easier labor this time around. I'll be praying that you have a much easier labor this time as well.

Do you have any support for your labor in the hospital. It would be wonderful for you to have a doula, or someone to help you advocate for a natural birth. I don't envy you. The hospital is the last place I want to be for this birth but I know we don't always have an option.

Wishing you a wonderful birth

Wow, I had back labor with my first and I'm probably going to have it again with my second b/c I have a tilted uterus. Well, I'm 38 weeks now and I had my first at 39 weeks and 4 days so you just never know is right.

I hope you have an easier labor this time around. I don't have a doula, I thought of having one but just never got around to finding one with everything that was going on in with my pregnancy. I didn't have one with my first pregnancy either.

But, as far as my pregnancy is going now, I just want this baby out already! My mom SWARES it's going to happen REAL soon, I just hope she's right lol.

Take care!!!

Welcome! I don't like it when people tell me when I'm going to ahve the baby. It seems like I always prove them wrong by going past that LOL. I hope that doesn't happen with you.
