How warm to be outside?

Hi mamas!

It's supposed to be in the 50s and low 60s here this weekend and dh was thinking it might be fun to take the kids to walk on some trails at a nearby state park. We have a moby wrap and a kangaroo korner fleece pouch that Peter can ride in. If he's bundled up with a hat, do you think it will be warm enough for him? He'll be 2 weeks old on Sunday. Thanks!!

As long as he's well bundled I don't see a problem I'd totally take my LO out as long as it wasn't rainy/cold as opposed to sunny/cold. Then again I'm the woman who was out at walmart shopping the day after the birth

Don't overdo the bundling. I've ended up stripping River down a layer or two when we're out and about because he ends up sweating...

Oh that's fine! Mamas take their babies out in much colder weather.

Just think of the mamas that live in outdoor environments...

I wish it was that warm here!
I take my baby out every day and it's been in the low 30's here in MA : )
She has a down snowsuit so she stays nice & toasty and I like her to get the fresh air & sunshine & vitamin D.
He should be fine in the fleece pouch definately!

I usually do Alex up in a wool sweater and hat over his regular clothes in the sling. For really frigid weather, I wear my coat over everything and have a wool blanket covering him up.

w went out really briefly today and it's 24 degrees-- she was triple bundled and against my chest, and she was just fine...Still, I understand your worry-- we barely went 4 blocks and I was still fretting. I think 50's or 60's with a few layers on your babe will be just fine.
