Change in plans . . .

. . .my c/s has been moved to Friday. It has been an awful, long, painful day. I am soooooooon ready for Monday. The hospital has a new-ish policy , stating that if you are not "in your 39th week" they must verify fetal lung maturity prior to an elective delivery.

No way are we doing an amnio at 38w4d. Are you kidding me????????


So, we will wait until Friday, when I am 39w1d.

Nuts. I have worked so hard to gear up for Monday. The delay is so frustrating.

FWIW, I'd make the same decision, to move it back...no way would I have that amnio! Geez! You'll be holding your babe soon!!! Can't wait to hear all about it!

Thanks for understanding. If that had been the original date, fine. But it wasn't. I was so prepared for Monday . . . and to find out now that it's changed . . . . it's just hard.

I wouldn't do an amnio either, and I would probably be so frustrated at having the date changed that I would be sobbing my eyes out. Maybe it won't be so snowy by next Friday.

I know I have spent SO much time planning and prepping for Monday. Who will be with Dd, Grandparents taking a few days off work, house preparations, food!!!
I'm so sorry.

BUT maybe LO will turn in that extra few days! and make it all worth the while. Hang in there!

I know! We had all of the arrangements made. Now there is a bit of last minute scrambling to do. Thank goodness for your friends and their flexibility!

This is so me lately. If I could only sit and focus and not think about everything else I need to do I could get a lot of knitting done!
