I don't know if anyone else has read this piece of crap. It was a gift from a relative who thinks I need to relax so I just made myself read it.
Throught the book the author, a news anchor goes on and on about how it is so important to make time for yourself, and only by doing so can you truly be good to your child. Ok, I can agree all parents need a little time for themselves.
Then she goes on about how she can't cook a thing and that it is fine that when her children are with her they subsist on chicken nuggests and sugary cereals, losing my patience and respect.
Then the clincher, in the last 50 pages she goes into how sleep is important to her and thus for her child's sake, to teach them to sleep, she invested in a paid of earplugs for the necessary and 'best for the child' cry it out sessions.
It made me so mad that I bothered plowing through all the other crap in the book. I found it useless anyway, but if she had admitted up front that she advocated this neglect, I would have recycled the book immediately, rather than wasting my time on such useless crap.
