The Animatrix?

Did anyone see this? DH and I just watched the first seven shorts. Amazing. Unbelieveable.

I am a HUGE Matrix fan but wasn't as thrilled with Reloaded. I got this out on DVD just on a whim. DH didn't even know it was out. I cannot believe how much this expands the story of The Matrix. Wow.

Oh, I loved the Animatrix!!

It was on the Internet for awhile and I guess it's popularity made them decide to release them for sale. Dh and I picked it up not too long ago since we liked it so much.

We haven't even seen Reloaded.

Loved the Matrix. Loved Reloaded too (puts me in the minority, I guess). Loved Animatrix too. Yes, it did add a lot to the saga. Loved the trippy last segment!

I think the whole journey adds so much to the debate about religion and war in our society. I also think all Matrix related material should be taken in a felt on a deep level. If you just go for the thrill, and for some kind of ordinary plot which "makes sense " on a literal, linear level, you will be disappointed.

I think if you are a student of comparative mythology, philosophy and psychology, you will "get" the Matrix.
