how to tell how low baby is...

Anyone? I guess I could ask my doc next week. I guess I am just excited.
The baby feels a bit lower the past 2 days. Like if I squeeze my backside I feel tons of pressure Or when I walk he just feels "low" . The OB did say he had dropped a "bit" last time.
This has never happened to me before, so I have no idea what babies actually do if the lower themselves.
I am scheduled for next Friday for my 3rd c.Please no flames, nessecary reasons both times. Like, my babies just don't seem to like to come out previously.

I have to say part of me is hoping this guy makes an appearance beforehand but I would really not know what to do, or if there was a complication....yada yada....
Rambling, but wanting to know if it's normal to feel pressure in my rear. My due date is march 7th, BTW.

I don't know how to tell station numbers, but it was pretty clear to me when the baby had dropped down into my pelvis. I felt more room to eat, no heartburn, and more room to take deep breaths. And when she gets the hiccups I feel them in my butt! My cervix also feels twinge-y when I walk, like it has a head pushing on it I don't know how low she is, but I know she's down there.

For me at least, dropping had nothing to do with when I went into labor- DD1 dropped at 33 weeks, I went into labor at 38 weeks, and DD2 dropped at 34.5 weeks, and I'm 37.5 weeks with no signs of labor. So I like it when they drop because I appreciate more space up top, but it doesn't mean imminent labor or anything (at least not for me!).

If the doc does a cervical check they can tell you the station, but otherwise I don't know. I'm also due the 7th!

Well I'm actually due the 10th, but they scheduled me for the 7th. Which was sort of my idea, so I could get more help from dh, so his parents could help me until he takes his paternity leave when they leave....

But I guess NOW, I am sort of "due" the 7th. I guess instead of telling people I am 38 1/2 weeks I should tell them I'm due in a week?

Last night my legs were a pain(for real) to move around. If I had to lift them at all it hurt. This is gonna be a looooooong week!

Feeling pressure in your butt might be from your baby being both low and posterior.
I can tell mine has dropped somewhat because there's now a good 4 inches between the top of my uterus and my rib cage, and baby kicks around my bellybutton all the time.
Wow, only 6 more days til you have your baby
