Katie, if your last cycle was 43 days, you could just be gearing up to O in the next week or so. My temps always spent a few days in a low, low range before they started to climb toward O and afterward.

got my progesterone retested today, was 0.6 last week, it is just 1.0 today, no way i O'd.

I started crying when i saw DH a few minutes after i got the results. I will be back to my hopeful self tomorrow, decisions need to be made, life goes on, today i need to just let it out.

It is pouring down rain here, drowning the world out, mother nature is crying with me.

when he told me the results and then said "not that i couldn't have told you that was going to be the case" Rather then maybe, hmmm i don't know, maybe "sorry, i'm sure this is hard" or something a bit more human than his snide drivel.
I snapped and said "Look i realize you don't give a about my health but I do."

I will be getting my next test results back form another doctor

thanks Vegancupcake! That is reassuring to hear. I think I mistyped 43 it was actually 42 but same thing!
Yeah, my temp climbed higher today, and tho I am stil mostly dry cm, I had a bunch of wetness this am but I think it was leftover semen.
But this afternoon my cervix was SHOW! So this evening we tried the preeseed for the 1st time and dtd just in case.
Also- then I got a faint line on my opk which I think means O is getting closer.
So maybe I am just gearing up to O.

If you've only just started temping, it may be that low temps are your normal, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. I got +HPT and +beta without ever breaking 98. I love hearing from pregnant women that the things going on in my body are still ok! I looked at your chart and your low temps look like mine. Phew- I am not totally weird
My temp jumped up to 97.07 this morning, I dunno if that is my O jump or not but we are dtd just in case ( yesterday and today) but my opk is just still a faint 2nd line.

BTW SweatPea was ther anything special you guys did to get pg finally or just trying and trying?

Okay, here's the thing. For years, now, I've had debilitating mid-cycle pain--to the point that I have a prescription painkiller that I take when it hits, except when ttc. I usually have 5 days of it, stretched between 2DPO and 7DPO. When I don't take my pain pills, I really feel it. All day. Through the night. Waking me up from sleep. It's bad.

I've had about 15 minutes of twinges on 2DPO, and I was doubled over for a little bit last night.

That's it.

Good sign? Random nothing? Perimenopause?

OMG, what a jerk! I would've snapped at him, too! I hope you include his remark as an example of his insensitivity in delicate personal matters in your letter to his supervisor.

I'm really sorry that the very person who is supposed to be sensitive and caring though this difficult time for you is instead adding to your stress .

Forgive me if you've already explained all this (or if it's none of my beeswax ), but with the midcycle pain, did you go through some diagnostic stuff to try and figure out what was causing it? I'm asking because I wonder if there's some relation between the midcycle pain and why you haven't conceived yet, despite really good timing. I'm only asking because, well, I want the best for the frog and if there was something that could be done to help you along (within, of course, your own boundaries of what you're willing or able to do).

Anyway, I : of course : hope it's a good sign and that there's a little tadpole setting up camp.

Rivka--sorry to hear about all your issues with your doctor. It's bad enough that your body isn't doing what you think it should be doing--the last thing you need is to have to deal with someone like that. I'm glad you're moving on. And your chart looked so good for O too. (())

I think I'm beginning to move towards O here too ...

I talked to my SIL who is 9 weeks pregnant (after 2 years trying!) and she says she feels like she has mono all the time. I have had mono, and I know what that feels like. So in some ways I'm almost wondering if we should stop trying until I graduate--hopefully only a few more months--but on the other hand, since we've already been trying for 6 months, I hate to miss opportunities. Hmmm. I guess we just have to keep trying to exercise this faith thing.

Yep. Bloodwork, regular ultrasounds, dildocam ultrasounds, the whole nine yards. Utterly inconclusive. My mom had the pain, too, and they never figured out why she had it, either. Apparently, some statistically significant portion of healthy women have this and they don't really know why.

That said, turtle and I talked yesterday and if this attempt doesn't succeed, I'm making an appointment with an RE to see if there's a reason.

Hey Frog. first, sorry you always have this wicked pain and it IS hard when you are TTC and can't do your normal coping protocol. I get migraines often and had sworn off excedrin in the 2ww and it sucked; one month I had something like 3 migraines in a 10 day period. As for the mysterious pain itself, is it possible you are having corpus luteum cysts? For a while I was having a pain about 7 dpo until AF, not quite the same but was told this was a possiblity. To me, it makes more sense if the pain is like yours though 2 dpo to 7ish, when the CL is producing the rise of progesterone, then as it starts to taper the pain subsides. Just a thought. I am wondering though if acup. could assist with this pain while you are TTC?

Rivka, Blimey on the prog. test. I am so sorry, for the way icky doctor element, for the disappointment of not Oing yet, for being in the position to have to "defend" yourself amidst the medical world. I am still happy to mess the guy up...but maybe are more appropriate at this point.

DH and I are giving a poetry reading today at a library. Should be a sweet afternoon. Hope everyone is having a nice weekend.

Well- I seem to be Ovulating- hooray!! I was concerned if I even did at all, but I got a +opk yesterday and today.
Yesterday it was almost/equal, and today the test line was darker than the control line.
So I guess that means I O in 24-48 hours.
My cm and cp is still wacky and at this point, with all the BDing we are doing, I am reluctant to poke my finger into my cervix too much.
As you can see by my spaztic 'preseed' posts I am vascilating between wanting to use it and worrying about it.
But at the moment I am thinking it can help as even at O I do not have much cm.
I dunno why.
Anyway- I am so glad I am ovulating and hoping for the best.

Not really, but once O day settled on CD17, it was easier to time BD'ing, which was a good thing, because DH and I aren't exactly teenage bunny rabbits, if you KWIM... I checked out your chart, and looks like O is pretty imminent if not already today, good luck!

Our midwife weighed in--she thinks the vitex could be responsible for diminishing the pain so much. Honestly, that's almost as good as a BFP!

Well, tomorrow I go in to have the *dilating stick* put in me. Not looking forward to this! Then we try the surgery again on Wed. Please say a "whatever you say" for me...I REALLY want this to work so we can move on. I'm feeling more positive but not stupid enough to expect it def. will.
Oh, but HOPING! Kind of crazy just 10 days later...still puts me off a cycle, but maybe it's not as much of a roadblock as I first thought. Just another challenge along the way...

Frog, Yay for Vitex working!

For all of you dealing with possible PCOS and/or male factor issues, WoodlandFairytale has a thread about the effects of maca and I thought it was pretty convincing. Both of those issues were mentioned as being aided. Even though DH is "normal" it's on the low side, and the thread pushed me to go get some maca. He is putting a tsp. in his cereal in the morning. I like that it's a food really...check it out if you're interested.
