Just a quick good word for www.zennioptical.com I ordered a pair of glasses from them on February 23rd and got them today. That was right on time for their shipping quote of 2 weeks. In the past my glasses have been pretty thick as my eyesight isn't that great, but these glasses are as thin and light as dh's much weaker glasses. I'm really super impressed with this company and I spent less then $20 for these glasses! My glasses are single vision, but they do bifocals as well. We will be getting bifocals for dh there the next time he needs them.

Awwwww to you!
Thats awesome that you get to volunteer and get a free pass!! I wish I wasn't so socially awkward and have these stupid phobias. I'd love to volunteer places.

You were right! My landlord was totally cool with the fact they haven't gotten rent yet. She said, "Rent?? Geesh you need to eat too! Don't worry about your rent girl." How awesome is that?? She said to just keep her updated and when the money comes in it comes in! One worry gone.

Now its just CMP, verizon, and time warner. Ugh how I hate time warner.

update on the dentist thing--- ashlyn will go to her very first dental appointment next Tuesday. please pray she will behave well- i am just seeing a horrible disaster in the making.( she will be three in 4 weeks so they are allowing her to come in) as for Alex he wont go until he is near the age of 3.. thats what age this dentist wants to see kids so i guess thats a blessing and there really wouldn't be anything they can do for him as he only has 8 teeth... as for my appointment wont be happening til April. i guess since i waited nearly a year to get cavities and such fixed another month wont kill me..

I'm too exhausted to say much today -- my brief that I thought I had until April 1 to write I now have until Wednesday to write and there is drama everywhere... work, home, friends, the dramalama has invaded them all. Poop.

On the other hand, I pumped a whopping 10.5 ounces today at work, which is a lifetime achievement! Yay, go me.

Also, Aura_Kitten, best thoughts for your sister, and OMG! Congratulations! Bryn Mawr is an awesome school!

Hi Mama's,

Haven't been able to get posting for a while, but here I am. I was actually supposed to be driving north (5 hours) to visit a friend and her new baby, but my dd spent the night throwing up. At 2am I decided that I wouldn't be getting up st 4am to do the trip, and happily turned off the alarm! So I have time that I am considering a bonus. Dh is away all day at the caucus, dd is feeling better, ds2 is still sleeping, and ds2 is nursing in my lap.

Hugs to all the mama's and their families. It has been a rough start to the month for lots of people.

I am SO ready for spring to be here!

Have a good day..........

good morning mamas!

not much to talk about this morning. gonna spend the day vaccuuming and washing bedding.

target had a deal on tshirt sheets the other day. $10 any size. i am still stuck on the flannel....still cold...but maybe next time it will be warm enough to try the new ones.

and i have homework the neverending stack of homework. some days (most) i think of how each class is only getting me 3 credits closer....some days tho, i am happy to be there.

its so weird that we changed our clocks this early. isn't it usually in april? i'm a morning person and love the sun in the morning. now its all in the evening i guess as long as here is sun i'll be fine.

anyway....one step closer to planting!

allright, i'm off to get moving...and watch meet the press

They changed it to November and March last year. So we stay on daylight savings time a lot longer now.

My little boy turns 4 tommorow and I'm struck with how quickly time flies. I also had a friend and my SIL who both had babies on thursday and it makes me realize how much I want another. It makes me sad because I know we just can't afford it and it doesn't seem fair.

Nature: That's awesome about your landlord! Its great when they're understanding

Aura Kitten: Congrats on Bryn Mawr And I'm sorry to hear about your sister.

Hi all ... I've not been around much ...

Am trying to figure out how in the world I'd ever move from CA to Pennsylvania on ... oh my budget is about $400 ...

Welcome to the new members.

ediesmom + Lanky ~ how are your classes going??

justmama? nature? where is everyone??
I think maybe I belong here? Just quit my job, put us on a tight budget, and am SAh with my son. We have like no fun money, and hardly enough no fun money, so I guess this the place for me.

I am currentkly working on getting ds on medicaid, although I have one more paycheck coming (we are going to put it in savings, as I drained it paying off debt so I could manahe staying home) and I think it will make us look more financially set then we are. Hopefully, if it falls through, I can reapply soon.

Do you mamas have health insurance? I just figured I wont, but wanted to see what the norm is.

i've been freecycling like mad....got rid of bags of clothes, a lizard tank, books, games and toys........i can't breathe in this place..TOO MUCH STUFF

Hi mamas, just checking in!

Nature - Wow. Your landlord sounds amazing!

Aura Kitten - Congratualtions on Bryn Mawr! Honestly, I am not that familiar with the school, so I googled it. What a gorgeous campus! Wow. I am so sorry to hear about your sister. She'll be in my thoughts.

My classes are going fairly well. I am a bit behind currently and will have to stay up all night writing many papers tonight and tomorrow night. My 2 online classes end soon, though. Then I'll have one more start, leaving me with 2 classes.

I still haven't been able to figure out if I will be able to attend over the summer or not. I really hope so. I'm also trying to figure out if I will stay at the school I am at now or transfer to the state university. I think I have a month or so to decide.

Mmmm....I'm baking a potato, egg, cheddar cheese quiche type of thing and it smells amazing.

Have a wonderful day ladies!!

Yes I have health insurance. I would never go without as it could bankrupt a person. If I had none I would at the very least buy catastrophic policy.
I don't have health insurance. I've actually not had private health insurance since I was a teenager and on my parents' policy. And I'm 28. Both of my pregnancies were covered by Medicaid and when I had pre-cancerous cells in my cervix I got BCCP Medicaid to cover it. I never thought about getting a catastrophic policy. I guess I always figured if something huge happened I could qualify for charity care. Although I do go to a low income clinic where the co-pay is $15 and I think my discount card from them can be used at the hospital they partner with.

I've been freecyling too! I got a high chair for Connor so I don't have to feed him in his carseat anymore. And today I gave away an exercise ball I bought at a yard sale that I was just never going to get around to using!

Hope things are well for all the mamas
