I need to catch up on the logging, but we've been VERY busy working on our house and removing the excess "stuff".
Over the last few days, I've gone through most of the house! From the backyard and shed, we gave away a Hibachi and wheelbarrow that we haven't used in awhile. We also threw out all the extra baseboard pieces since we finished that project finally and old wood. The shed looks great now! And I finally gathered all my pretty yard art and put it all in the yard. DH also hung our bird feeder and birdhouse in the front of the house.
I went through all the upper cabinets in the kitchen and recycled some plastic and glass items. I also added some containers to the donation pile. There is nothing left on top of the fridge except a pretty basket containing DD's lunch box and water bottle cooler for school. Oh, there is an extra tray tucked back that isn't visible unless you stand on a stool.
From our playroom that has been functioning as a storage room for the last six month, we recycled three boxes and added half a dozen or more items to the donation pile and threw out some stuff. Mostly, though, we gutted the room and put things together then back in and now the room is far more functional even though it is still more of a storage area than play area. The large items that go in other rooms, but are not able to be installed in those rooms yet are taking up most of the space.
DD's birthday party is next week and we were storing items for it in a corner of the living room. We got started on putting those items together on Friday and were able to toss out some unneeded items and put some others in the donation pile. DD went through her toys over a few days and added a dozen or so to the donation pile. A few were broken, so those ended up in the trash. We gave away two VHS tapes.
In our bedroom, I unpacked several boxes of picture frames, candles, and knick-knacks. The boxes hit the road and I ended up going through our large frames. I had saved a bunch of mats and those got tossed out (poor quality ones) along with a broken frame.
In the office, DH went through his box of cables. ONE BOX yielded 3 items going into the donation pile and a dozen poor quality ones hitting the trash. I had slowly gone through a large pile of paperwork over the week and a big stack was tossed out.
I think that is it since I posted last!
I far surpassed my goal this month! WOO HOO!!! March Progress: 52/31
