Update!!!

Sorry, it's taken so long to reply!!! Thank you all for your positive thoughts, vibes, and prayers!!!

Boden Mason is here and arrived in perfect style at 700pm Sat. March 1st!! We had such a beautiful water birth and everything went very smooth. Spend most of the day just relaxing and preparing for his arrival. Contractions were very mild most of the day, so finally around 3pm I decided I needed to get them more regular and started walking stairs and jumped on the pump for a little bit. My sister, who is also my midwife, came over around 430pm and to my surprise I was 6cm, but could stretch to 7cm!!! The contractions were still very mild and easy, so I was thrilled!! The contractions were all in my back which was exactly the same with my son, so I knew what would be coming~ After I was checked my sister started prepping everything for a birth, so it all became very real at that point!! I even remember thinking I can't believe I'm going to have this baby tonight!! By about 530pm they offered I get into the birth tub, but I was so nervous I would stall that I held off a bit. I was using a hot rice sock with handles to apply counter pressure and it was working great~ Finally around 6pm I decided to get in the water.......I remember that first contraction the water felt sooooo good. It was amazing!! The next few contractions seemed to be coming a little stronger and more intense and now without the counter pressure were harder to deal with. I immediately had my husband apply pressure to my lower back through each one.....he was amazing and such strong support for me. After what happened that morning, I was so proud of how much support he gave me!! My sister had me get out of the water for a few contractions because Boden's head was coming a little sideways and I sat on the ball lifting my belly through each one. It was very hard work, but I knew in my heart I was almost done. You always know when you get to that point that you are saying, I don't want to do this anymore, you're almost there~ She wanted to check me again and wanted me to try 2 contractions on my back floating in the water, something I was not looking forward to. She checked me through the next contraction and before I knew it, she was telling me to push and I was so confused! I flipped over to my hands and knees and pushed a few more times and before I knew it he was in my arms and I was just crying "I can't believe he's here!!!". It was such a beautiful moment and my husband and I were just bawling in such a state of shock! We are happily baby mooning and my 2 year old is such an amazing big brother!! Boden is nursing like a champ and we are adjusting well!!

Oh, wow! Congratulations! I've never heard of floating on your back for contractions; faskinating. Glad Boden's healthy and nursing well!
