Frustrated: update SHE is here post #17

I am so frustrated and irritated and my temper is short. This morning we think my water broke but we are not sure. For all I know its pee. MW said it sounds like my water breaking since I keep gushing little bits through out the day. She said to call when I start having contractions but yeah umm nothing. NOT A THING!!!! I am going to feel really stupid if I make it to our appt on Monday and she tests and tells me its just pee. So either I am going to have a baby soon or I have lost all bladder control. Sigh...

Oh, how frustrating. I'm sorry.

Is there anything you could do to, you know, move things along? Herbs, nipple stimulation, pressure points, etc?

Hang in there.

Sending good labor/birthing vibes your way.

Allison, are you prepared for a UC? With as far along as your body is I think you might have 3 contractions and then bam the baby flies out.

Not really prepared but if it happens we will deal with it. I am worried that it may happen though. MW wanted to come over this am when I called her and I was like uh no I'm going grocery shopping seriously I am not having contractions. She is really worried that she will not make it. I can't stop crying, well not crying actually but I keep tearing up and wanting to cry but I don't want to. Don't know why I am not sad at all just well tired...

Keep us posted. My water never broke with DS so each time I've had dribble, I wonder could this be it. No luck so far, but lots of luck to you Allison!

Still here, had some contractions last night but nothing regular or even that strong. Still leaking and baby is active. No temperature and taking lots of EmergenC. Think I am going to call my MW a bit later and see if she will meet me at her office to check if it is really amniotic fluid or not. At this point I am pretty sure it is. My skin was getting so irritated from the pads last night that I used a prefold instead and I soaked it in one gush. I have cloth pads but did not get a chance to make a ton so I don't want to use all my pp pads now and then not have any so I am using leftover disp from DD's birth.

On another topic DH was snoring so loud last night he would wake me up out of a very sound sleep. : Then he woke Marah up (cosleeping 23 month old) she said "Daddy loud" It drove me nuts so I passed Marah off to Joe and went to sleep on the couch. : Not comfy but no snoring and no climbing on me toddler either.

DD and I are supposed to get pedicures today and I am not sure if we should go or not. If today is like yesterday then we will be fine but it was down in SE PDX and I would have a 20-30 min drive back.

Met with my MW at 11 and she checked to make sure it was amniotic fluid and it is. I asked her to check me and I am 5-6 baby is still really low. Been trying nipple stimulation and nothing. MW may come over tonight after the kids are in bed and we will try cottonroot bark tincture. Anyone used this?

Sorry, I haven't used the cottonroot tincture. I hope labor picks up for you soon. Maybe it'll happen fast when it does happen. Good luck and ELV!

You amaze me LOL. I can only imagine just how frustrated you are. I hope the cottonroot bark tincture works. I've never heard of it before.

Oh wow, I would be so frustrated, too! I don't know what to say, mama, but hopefully things will get started before long!

(and I'm right there with you, dealing with the snoring DH. At least my toddler isn't cosleeping in my bed anymore...?)

WOW Allison!! Such joyful news to wake up too!!

I'm so happy you had such a fast/easy L&D!
