worm give me the serious hebegeebees. I can handle them in the garden, but the thought of 800-1200 worms in my house is making my skin crawl. I would really like to do this though, it sounds so cool. Dh would handle most of the worm handling too. My biggest concern is messing it up and the worm migrating that sounds horrifying! I would love to hear from other worm composters on here.

My sister did this and they are pretty self tending with the right setup. She had an official worm composter that I gave her. She kept them in the basement, she didn't have to handle them, just kept rotating the bins of fresh scraps and completed compost. The worms naturally move to the tray with the fresh scraps once they have composted the previous tray.
