"What unholy concoction are you making?"

I was visiting my parents last night, and decided that with grandparents to watch my LOs, I could spend a little time pampering myself with a much-needed exfoliation and a mask! I asked for their honey, baking soda, and apple cider vineger, got some weird looks, took my goods, and left. My dad went to bed soon thereafter, but this morning at breakfast, he looked in the kitchen and saw the honey, BS, and brown sugar. So, (jokingly) he asked, "What unholy concoction were you making with that stuff, if you don't mind my asking?" I told him it was facewash (the idea of exfoliation is probably a bit beyond him.) Mom joined in with questions about how often I do this? (Once a week) What do I use the other days? (Honey) Do I use regular facewash anymore? (Nope) Do I just keep a jar of honey in the shower? (No, a honey bear that I refill. It's much easier!) They were such a hoot! If they only knew what other "unholy concoctions" have been going on at my house.

Why didn't you tell him it was a holy concoction?

OMG, that's funny! I get the same from my husband, who does the "mad scientist" laugh whenever he sees me mixing up my hair/skin stuff in the bathroom. He always looks just a little afraid to walk in there....
