co-sleeper Blankets Question

Thread Starter
I am going to be a first time mom very soon, and my parents got us the Arm's Reach co-sleeper. I don't know what to do about blankets though. How do I make sure the baby is warm, but not in danger? I know this sounds like a dumb question, but I'm a total newbie and don't want to harm the baby!

I usually just put my little ones in sleepers. If it's cool I might put a onesie underneath.

Sleep sacks or swaddling blankets are also great.

ds never liked having covers on him (still doesn't); we ended up using a space heater in the bedroom to keep things warm enough. (Same went for me--we coslept in our bed, as he would never go for the cosleeper, but I still needed to turn the heat up so I was warm enough without blankets up to my neck. He was a December baby, tho)

That's not a dumb question at all ... we like using a sleep sack. You could also swaddle your baby if they need that comfort while sleeping. The miracle blanket swaddler is a good one. Love the arms reach co-sleeper - that's a great gift and one you'll get a lot of use out of! For night time sleepers - I love the Children's Place sleepers. They are tight fitting for little ones to sleep in.

I also just used a sleep sack with our co-sleeper. More often than not, baby would end up in bed with me anyway, which also meant under my covers or at very least, snuggled skin-to-skin for warmth.

baby blankets always end up being more for floor play and going outside, around our house!
